BodyGraph

BodyGraph (from body + graph) is an individual energy matrix in the Human Design system (#13), developed by Ra Uru Hu (Robert Alan Krakower) in 1987.

Syncretic synthesis. The BodyGraph is built on a synthesis of four systems:

• Western astrology (#1) — positions of the planets at the moment of birth
• I Ching (#6) — the 64 hexagrams as the 64 Gates (T085)
• The chakra model (#32) — transformed into 9 Centers
• Kabbalah (#17) — the Tree of Life as the structural basis of the channels

Structure of the BodyGraph

• 9 Centers — Head, Ajna, Throat, G-Center, Heart/Ego, Sacral, Spleen, Solar Plexus, Root
• 36 Channels — connections between centers
• 64 Gates (T085) — points of entry, one I Ching hexagram per gate

Defined and Open Centers

Stability and conditioning. A defined (colored) center is stable energy; an open one is a zone of conditioning in which a person absorbs and amplifies the energy of others.

The 4 Types

The combination of defined centers and channels yields one of the 4 Types:

• Manifestor
• Generator
• Projector
• Reflector

Each Type has its own Inner Authority (T033) and Strategy.
