Tonal
Tonal · Tonal (Latin)
RU: Тональ
Tonal (Nahuatl: tōnalli — "ray of sun", "day", "destiny"; Spanish tonal) is one of the 13 numbers of the Tzolk'in, defining the active quality (tone) of the day's energy.
Combination with Nawal. Combined with the nawal (T023), it forms a unique kin — the unit of the 260-day cycle. The Tonal is the "how", the Nawal is the "what".

The Mathematics of the 260 Kins
The full cycle. The combination: 20 nawals × 13 tonals = 260 unique kins.
Division of Functions
Tonal vs Nawal. The Tonal sets "how" the day's energy acts — intensity, phase. The Nawal sets "what kind" of energy it is — quality, archetype. Together they give the full characterization of a day.
